Improv is so much fun with a large group because the larger the audience, the more bodies and energy there are to play off of. Success, to me, means that the performers feel they have expressed themselves articulately through the prompts and are emotionally connected to themselves and each other through that expression. I want the audience to make their own story, put themselves inside it, and think about our performance for months afterward.

I really want people to be emotionally moved by our productions, whether they are laughing, crying, or both! I want the audience to be surprised, enraptured, and, most importantly, to be able to put themselves in the performers’ shoes. This form of performance is very abstract, so my goal is to engage the audience emotionally through the architectural positioning of where the performers are on stage, how they interact with one another, and the sound and movement they express with one another, through the story they are telling with their bodies and sometimes with improvised text. I also want the audience to be inspired to communicate more in their everyday life as they watch our performances on stage.
